The USB connection uses a standard plug-and-play codec chip. If your computer throws a "USB Device Not Recognized" error:

Focuses on immediate setup, hook-up diagrams, and basic control settings.

If voltages are correct but the module is unresponsive, the proprietary digital signal processor (DSP) or its flash memory chip may have suffered electrostatic discharge (ESD) failure, requiring a motherboard or sub-board replacement. The USB Codec

Order via Mouser or authorized distributor using part numbers above. The V5499 DSP is not user-replaceable; return unit to service center.

Inspect for bulging capacitors. Replace with high-temperature (105°C) low-ESR capacitors. Oxidized or dirty potentiometers and fader carbon tracks.

Channels 1 through 4 include one-knob analog compressors with control circuitry built directly into the channel strip.
